Crime and justice are big topics right now, and with the election coming up, we all have the opportunity to vote for effective solutions that will make our communities safer.

Unfortunately, some politicians and community groups will say whatever it takes to get votes, particularly when it comes to crime. But we know that New Zealanders want real and effective solutions to making our communities safer. So how do you know what’s grounded in evidence and what’s vote buying? How can you dodge the politics and vote smart on crime and justice?

We can’t tell you who to vote for (that’s up to you), but we can give you what you need to make a wise and informed choice. That’s why we’re creating a free, non-partisan, evidence based guide to help people make informed votes for effective solutions. This three part email series will be available early September, with a carefully curated list of third party resources, video interviews with respected professionals, reports and scorecards to help you vote well, based on evidence.
