This month we put forward a written submission on the Oranga Tamariki Long-Term Insights Briefing 2025, which aims to explore how Aotearoa New Zealand can better support tamariki and rangatahi, who experienced adversity, now and into the future.

Our submission encourages Oranga Tamariki to implement responses that facilitate the healing of our tamariki through measures that prioritise restorative justice, instead of perpetuating an ineffective and punitive approach that results in intergenerational harm.
